Good for

Solar imaging at long focal lengths, especially H-alpha. The large 9 µm pixels match long telescopes without a reducer.

Same sensor, so image quality is very similar. The differences are cooling, extras like built-in memory, size and price.

Choosing between versions

Cooled or uncooled?

Uncooled cameras suit short exposures: planets, the Moon and live stacking. For long deep-sky exposures, cooling keeps noise low and makes calibration frames match.

Colour or mono?

Colour captures everything in one go. Mono needs filters and more time, but records more detail and copes better with light pollution.
