These terms apply when you buy from proastronomy.co.uk. They’re written to be read: if anything is unclear, ask us before you order.
Who we are
Pro Astronomy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15446028. Registered office: Meole Brace, Shrewsbury SY3 9PA. Phone 01743 224 180, email info@proastronomy.co.uk.
Prices
Prices are in pounds sterling. We’re not VAT registered, so no VAT is added: the price you see is the price you pay, plus delivery, which is shown in your basket before you pay. If we make a pricing mistake, we’ll tell you before your order is dispatched and you can choose whether to go ahead.
Your order
When you place an order, we email you to acknowledge it. Our contract with you starts when we dispatch the goods, or when we confirm a delivery date for an item that isn’t on the shelf. If we can’t supply something, we’ll tell you and refund you in full for that item.
Stock wording on each product tells you what to expect:
- In stock: dispatched the next working day.
- Usually in stock: if it isn’t on the shelf, we’ll email you within one working day with a confirmed delivery date, usually within 10 days. You can cancel for a full refund if the date doesn’t suit you.
- End of line: contact us before ordering so we can check we can still supply it.
Payment
Payment is taken when you place your order. You can pay by card or with PayPal. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Square. We never see or store your full card details.
Delivery
UK delivery is £5, and free on orders over £250. See Delivery for times and international orders. Orders outside the UK may have import duty and local taxes to pay on arrival, which are your responsibility. The goods are your responsibility once they’ve been delivered to the address you gave us.
Cancelling and returns
You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. Faulty items are covered by your legal rights and our warranty. See Returns and refunds and Warranty and repairs for how this works.
Made-to-measure masks
Masks we make to measure for your telescope are made to your measurements. They can’t be returned for a change of mind, but your rights for faulty items still apply. Please check your measurements carefully: we’ll confirm them with you before we start.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We’re not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses: our products are for domestic and private use. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your legal rights as a consumer.
Your information
We use your details to process your order and look after you. See Privacy.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
