Overview
The ToupTek Astro Automatic Focuser (AAF) is a stepper motor that turns your telescope’s focuser, so capture software can focus for you. It measures 45 × 60 × 47 mm and drives up to 5 kg of camera and accessories.
One USB-C cable carries both power and data. ASCOM drivers let NINA, APT and Sequence Generator Pro run autofocus routines, and INDI drivers cover Linux systems and the ToupTek StellaVita.
A temperature sensor tracks the drop through the night, so the software can refocus as the tube cools. The hand controller moves focus without a computer, which helps when you’re setting up.
Fitting
Plates for horizontal or vertical mounting and flexible couplers in several sizes come in the box. With these it fits Sky-Watcher, Sharpstar, Skyrover and TS-Optics refractors.
For other focusers, send us a photo and we’ll check the fit. If it needs a bracket, we can make one.
