Celestron C14 Tri Bahtinov Mask with Hyperstar

This tri-Bahtinov mask is made for a Celestron C14 fitted with a HyperStar lens. We laser-cut it in Shropshire from 3 mm black cast acrylic with a polished finish.

The centre is open for the HyperStar. When you order, we’ll ask you to confirm the size of opening you need.

How a tri-Bahtinov mask works

A tri-Bahtinov mask has three Bahtinov patterns set at 120° to each other. On a bright star, each pattern makes its own set of spikes. When all three middle spikes are centred, the telescope is in focus. If you can’t centre all three at once, the optics need collimating.
